Residents asked to give torn textiles a second chance

Recycling old materials can help to reduce carbon dioxide and save money (avoiding landfill tax). 

This includes clothes, shoes, towels, sheets, duvet covers, pillow cases, tea towels, oven gloves and curtains - they can all be recycled.

However a recent waste analysis on West Sussex households showed textiles still make up 5% of the rubbish sent to landfill.
