Light Up Ceremony for our Recycled Plastic Bottle Christmas Tree

  • Where: Crawley Library, Southgate Avenue, Crawley, RH10 6HG
  • When: 1 Dec 2016, 16:00 - 18:00

Join us as we officially switch on the lights for our plastic bottle Christmas Tree.  The grand switch on will be conducted by David Barling, WSCC Cabinet Member for Waste at 4.30pm, but we will be there from 4pm until 5.30pm.  We will have a small waste prevention information table and will be handing out mince pies to all.  We will be talking to passers-by about recycling over the festive period, focusing on all those extra glass bottles and jars, wrapping paper and cards, as well as the packaging from all the presents shared, not forgetting tips for storing and using up all the leftover food too.  We will be playing festive music and are hoping to have a local choir there to lead us in singing some popular carols to get us all in the festive spirit.  There is parking available at this location and is within a short walking distance of Crawley Railway Station, there are also numerous buses from across Crawley Borough.
