Our colleague Paul lives in a flat
‘I’m afraid I live in a flat and so I do not have a compost bin. I’m keen on the whole idea though and have even written a composting rhyme…
Feed me, feed me all your peelings please
Pack me with your garden waste,
From apple cores to fallen leaves
It all goes to compost make.’
It’s a first for us and I have a feeling composting rhymes may even catch on! On a more serious note, if you live in a flat why not investigate to see if you have allotments nearby or if your neighbours with gardens are green fingered? Saving organic kitchen waste in a caddy and decanting it weekly on a neighbour’s heap would keep it out of your rubbish bin and out of landfill too. Annie.
