Compost bins half price in a bid to cut waste
The last few years have seen household waste go up and up in West Sussex, costing the County Council more and more money to dispose of it.
In a bid to cut costs and cut waste, West Sussex County Council are dropping the price of their already subsidised compost bins to just £6.99 plus delivery.
This offer starts 1 September
As we know, so many kitchen scraps can go in a compost bin, and it can be done year-round.
Food waste in landfill is also one of the biggest producers of methane, a greenhouse gas that is 25 times more harmful than CO2. So any reduction in waste will reduce this too.
Did you know over 8,000 people have bought one of our subsidised bins in the last 5 years? Together these bins are diverting around 1.2K tonnes of waste.
So if you need a new bin, or know someone else who does, spread the word!
This special offer ends 16 October.
